As early as 1930 the first Japanese excavator was manufactured by Kobelco. As an independent subsidiary of a Japanese steel manufacturer Kobelco Construction Machinery has been focused on the production of crawler excavators over decades. This includes the construction of short-tail excavators or the Invention of the patented iNDr technology. The product range starts with the 1 ton mini excavator and goes up to the 80 ton hydraulic excavator.
For decades, the Kobelco crawler excavator is seen as one of the best on the market. The sophisticated technology, durability, unmatched gradeability, drawbar pulling force and high performance despite low fuel consumption are features that distinguish these machines.
All models of the new -10 series are powered by a Hino engine (Toyota subsidiary) and include SCR-System and a diesel particulate filter (DPF). They all comply to the latest exhaust regulations EURO Stage IV and Tier 4 final and therefore are already equipped with the technology needed for EURO Stage V.
